Time filler

Malta, yeah I think it’s all good for now.

I am getting more and more used to work and that in itself makes it easier to do since I feel I do not have to ask for as much.

I always thought that I would work with something regarding poker if I started working in the e-gaming industry since I have been in this area for almost 10 years now, both as a player and as an affiliate.

But for now I will do my work as good as I can and if something opens up within poker I might apply, but how knows what will happen in the future.

I know a few things for sure at this point, stuff like me being too heavy and lazy, that I will play Battle of Malta (and I feel like a win should be in just the right time) and that I have taken days off for BoM and for the Swedish Championship the following week, which I am looking forward to since 4-5 friends is coming down during these 2 events.

I will try and post as much pictures and info about the two weeks from 22nd of Nov up until 2nd of Dec and keep you up to what is happening, and if anyone is winning any events.

I really feel I have to write a different blog, so the next blog will be one of two things, either a more in depth blog about how my thoughts go about certain things, or a very simple no brainer blog about nothing at all (like this).

Btw, Giants schedule does NOT look promising for securing a playoff spot.

Green Bay Packers, @ Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, @ Atlanta Falcons, @ Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles

And having the Cowboys run past would be the worst, cause then Fjuno will start talking shit again, which we do not like haha.

Not sleepy at all

Friday, November 09, 2012 Posted by Alexander Lucas 2 comments

Working only nights makes you adapt to a certain schedule and when you do not get to sleep from 7am to 1pm or 2pm this will make you extremely tired while working the next day.

So when I first got one “night” of bad sleep after work I was firmly decided to be very rested until the next shift, sadly enough my shitfaced flatmate was having his solo party in the flat again and this making him do enough sounds for me not to fall asleep until around 8am, and when the phone range at 9:14 and this was him again saying that they were on a boat on the way to Gozo I was not happy to say the least.

Strange enough I could not fall back asleep, so I stayed awake since the maid was coming by around 1pm, so when she arrived me and Fjuno went to McCaffé and took some breakfast (not the healthy choice) as seen on the picture below.

After that we went to Scotts Supermarket, which is not cheap I noticed, and then past Subway before going back home. Around 6pm I could finally try and get some sleep before work, but NOOOO then the drilling began, and yes, this is Fjunos fault.
There has been NO construction noises at all until he arrived, and now there is power tools and hammers every fucking hour of the day.

So Thursday night I am off from work and they way things had gone I decided to stay home and skip the tournament at the casino and instead get a whole lot of fucking sleep.
Friday is still planned to be a night spent at the casino playing the regular €110 tournament if they still run this due to the Israeli Poker Championship being this weekend.

If I had enough money I would sit at the cash games every available hour this week since the value is sooo great with the degenerate Israelis here to gamble.

I must say that Israeli people get a lot of crap, but the ones that I have met I must say have been really nice, and Israel is still one of those places I would like to visit someday.

Travel?

Thursday, November 01, 2012 Posted by Alexander Lucas 1 comment

One you have nothing at all to do, or when you just relax and drift away and your mind take a stroll, where do you see yourself and where do you feel happy?

For certain people this might be at home in the sofa with their loved ones, for some it’s out running or at the gym, for some it might be out on a hike in the wilderness or out hunting or fishing.
For me there are 2 places, one is a place like Bora Bora, not saying Bora Bora exactly but I can see myself in one of those overwater bungalows just laying on a sunbed relaxing and reading books and should I need a massage or refill my drink all I have to do is clap my hands or reach for the closest seashell and blow a little tune.

I could really see myself there, but since I doubt a good internet would be available I would max out after a month and then need to go to a more civil place.

And of course I would not go there at all if there is no good facility when it comes do depositing a duce, since I am NOT the kind of person that likes to crap in a hole in the ground and swat flies while trying to avoid splashes, no way, there I have a strict policy of staying out of the way.

I know a lof of you that know me would say “come on, you do not even like the heat dude”, which is true in a way.

I do not like the heat when I have to do stuff, like move…which I would not plan to do if I was in such a place, even I could consider becoming one of those turds that just bask in the sun all day and then on the evening you go and eat some proper stake and feel like a king.

…. Yeah that would work for me….

The other place is USA, Las Vegas in particular and having the option to go to L.A. or San Fran or such places when having the energy for it, hanging there and having all the US sports on good air times, and having the chance to enjoy all of Vegas is nothing but a perfect fit…if you can afford it.

And when thinking about it I cannot stop to think about the milkshakes at Peggy Sue’s Diner on the way from Vegas to Los Angeles, they were awesome to say the last, and you got enough to keep you full until entering L.A.

And being in the states is good for the times when you need new shoes, I hate trying to find shoes in Sweden, or even worse, in Malta, but in Vegas you just go to one of the outlet shops and splash $100 bucks and you have yourself 3 pair of new sneakers, it’s great to say the least.

So, how the fuck should I manage to get myself to either of these places ?

I guess the solution would be to keep on working and try to play as much poker as possible on my free time in order to build enough capital to go, or win the lottery, which is tough since I do not enter.

Anyway the fact that only work is not enough to build capital is clear and I need to put down even more time in improving my game so I can have something to look forward to, and now that Fulltilt is up and running (well, running from Nov 6th) there would be another place to try some action.

Wish you all a good night and should you be interested in going to either places, give me a shout !
